About Payment for Medical Services
When seeking medical care in Japan, payment for services is required at the time of treatment. To ensure a smooth and worry-free stay, please note the following:
Treatment Interruptions: Ongoing treatment or procedures may be paused if bills remain unpaid.
Reentry Restrictions: Unpaid medical bills may result in difficulties entering Japan on future visits, as per local regulations.
Impact on Future Medical Access: Information on unpaid bills may be shared with relevant organizations, potentially affecting access to medical services in Japan.
To protect against unexpected illnesses or injuries, we strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance before your trip. Some insurance plans are available for enrollment within five days of arriving in Japan.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation, and we hope you have a safe and enjoyable stay in Japan.
